Gismarvik is located due north of Stavanger. The park has a large harbor facility adjacent to the industrial area. From Haugaland Industrial Park, Bergen may be reached by car and ferry in 3 hours, and when the Rogfast connection is cpmpleted, it will be possible to reach Stavanger within 45 minutes. The park is centrally located in Haugaland with a 15-minute drive to/from Haugesund and to/from Haugesund Airport, Karmøy.

Areas and energy
The industrial park is an approximately 500 hectare industrial area at Gismarvik in Tysvær municipality, conveniently located next to the E39 road between Bergen and Stavanger, and close to Statoil Kårstø and Hydro Karmøy.
Haugaland Industrial Park can provide flexible energy solutions with access to natural gas and electricity. If there are requirements for larger quantities of natural gas, supply of of natural gas at high pressure will be considered. The Kårstø terminal is Europe's largest processing plant for natural gas. There are also plans for environmental facilities for the supply of steam and district heating in the park. The industrial park has good access for fresh water, and cooling water from the sea may be provided if necessary.
Access to labour, suppliers and partners with the right expertise is central in the choice of location. The region has a number of businesses that are leaders in their fields and has good access to qualified personnel with extensive industrial experience and expertise in their areas.
The main industries in the region are offshore supply, maritime industries, process industries, gas and energy-related industries and food industry.
Gismarvik Harbor is part of Haugaland Industrial Park. The harbor is close to the North Sea and the European market. At present the harbor is developed with 110 metres of deep water quay (80 + 30 meters) and an asphalted area and storage area of around 8 hectares has been developed.
The quay and harbor area may be expanded as needed to approximately 900 m of quay and 16 hectares of storage space.
